Strategy Abandons 'Buy Every Dip' Strategy for More Flexible Approach

Strategy, a company known for its Bitcoin purchases, is shifting its capital allocation strategy. During its Q2 earnings call, it confirmed that not all new capital will be dedicated to buying BTC.

The change comes after three consecutive weeks without purchasing Bitcoin, a rare occurrence considering Strategy's history of aggressive buying. Its holdings remain unchanged at 843,775 BTC, acquired at a total cost of $63.69 billion with an average purchase price of $75,476 per Bitcoin.

Strategy will now split its capital allocation between buying BTC and strengthening its USD reserve, depending on market conditions. This new approach has sparked debate over whether Strategy is becoming more flexible or if its Bitcoin-first strategy is entering a new phase.
