Strategy Aims for Global Supremacy with Bitcoin-Backed Credit Business
Strategy Inc., the NASDAQ-listed company led by Michael Saylor, has set its sights on becoming the world's largest company by market capitalization. According to a recent earnings call, Strategy wants to achieve this goal through a multi-step strategy centered around Bitcoin dominance.
The first step is to own as much capital in Bitcoin as possible, with a target of 30% annual return on those reserves in BTC terms. The second pillar involves issuing Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock, described by Saylor as the 'strongest credit', which would amount to 10-20% of BTC reserves annually.
This would allegedly enable Strategy to create its 'best equity', referring to its common stock, MSTR. To put this plan into perspective, Strategy's current market capitalization is around $36 billion, significantly lower than the current leader, Nvidia Inc., with a valuation of over $5.3 trillion.
