Strategy Begins Tracking Bitcoin's Key Long-Term Technical Level
Bitcoin-focused treasury firm Strategy (MSTR), formerly known as MicroStrategy, has started actively monitoring Bitcoin's 200-week moving average. According to its founder and executive chairman Michael Saylor, the company now displays this metric along with the premium of Bitcoin's current price relative to that average on its official website.
The 200-week moving average represents a long-term trend measure calculated from nearly four years of weekly closing prices. Historically, since data for this indicator became available, Bitcoin has traded above the level approximately 92 percent of the time. At the moment of the update, the asset's price was positioned almost precisely on the moving average line itself.
Strategy's decision to feature the indicator and the associated premium publicly underscores the firm's continued emphasis on Bitcoin as a core treasury asset and its interest in transparent, data-driven insights for observers and stakeholders. The move reflects the evolving presentation of market data by Bitcoin-centric entities seeking to equip their audiences with clearer perspectives on price trends.
