Strategy Bitcoin's treasury continued to grow in Q2 despite reporting an $8.22 billion paper loss, driven by lower Bitcoin prices. The company's Bitcoin reserves increased to 843,775 BTC, supporting its accumulation strategy and adding sales to pay for preferred stock dividends.

The losses were unrealized, lowering the valuation of the digital asset holdings, but most of the reported loss was market pricing rather than permanent asset disposals. Bitcoin later recovered towards $64,700, highlighting the volatility affecting corporate treasury valuations.

Strategy sold about $218.4 million worth of BTC in its recently launched BTC monetization program to meet some of its preferred stock dividends, with minimal sales done post-second-quarter period. The management stressed that these sales did not reflect a change in the Bitcoin acquisition program but an attempt at financial flexibility without losing the long-term treasury agenda.
