Strategy Chairman Michael Saylor has clarified his company's Bitcoin holdings policy after reports emerged that it had received new authorization to sell up to $5 billion worth of BTC.

Saylor stated that this sales authorization was not new, but rather an announcement made on June 29th as part of the company's capital management framework. According to Saylor, the arrangement permits the sale of BTC for specified purposes but does not compel the company to sell.

Saylor emphasized that Strategy had never adopted a policy stating it would 'never sell' its Bitcoin holdings and that it expects to remain a net Bitcoin buyer in the long term.
