Strategy Contributes $250 Annually to Trump Accounts for Employees' Children
Strategy, a Bitcoin treasury company, has pledged to contribute $250 annually to Trump Accounts for eligible children of its U.S. employees. The firm will also match the one-time $1,000 contribution from the US government for American children born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028.
This move follows a growing trend of companies backing President Trump's investment accounts for children, with Morgan Stanley, Coinbase, Robinhood, Goldman Sachs, and Circle already making similar pledges. Strategy CEO Phong Le stated that the goal of Trump Accounts aligns with the company's values and optimism about the future.
Strategy aims to promote financial education, long-term thinking, and a culture of saving and investing from an early age through its contributions. The firm has also disclosed plans to sell more Bitcoin if necessary to return its preferred stock STRC to $100. Strategy has already sold over 5,000 BTC, generating over $300 million in revenue.
