Strategy Dives into Sell-Offs as It Rebalances Its Finances
Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, is overhauling its financing model to adapt to market pressures on Bitcoin. The company announced it has sold bitcoin worth $105 million and shares worth $291 million to bolster its capital structure.
The sales aim to increase the reserve pool to $4 billion, with some funds used to repurchase preferred STRC shares at a discount. This marks a shift from Strategy's previous approach of buying and holding Bitcoin, which had been central to its growth strategy for years.
With this move, Strategy demonstrates its flexibility in response to changing market conditions. The company still holds $56 billion in Bitcoin, making it the largest corporate holder of the token.
