Strategy Halts BTC Sales, Boosts Cash Reserves Amid MSTR Share Buybacks
Strategy, the Bitcoin treasury company, has paused its Bitcoin sales after reducing its BTC holdings for two consecutive weeks. Instead of selling more Bitcoin, Strategy continued repurchasing STRC shares last week, using the funds from MSTR common stock sales to finance the buybacks and boost its cash reserves.
According to a recent SEC filing, Strategy sold nearly 3.46 million MSTR shares through its at-the-market (ATM) program, generating approximately $333.7 million in revenue. The company allocated $132.2 million of the net proceeds toward STRC share buybacks and another $52.4 million to fund STRC dividend payments.
The remaining $149.1 million helped increase Strategy's USD reserve to approximately $4.8 billion, a significant addition to its cash reserves. MSTR stock remained positive following the disclosure, trading near $94 and gaining more than 1% as Bitcoin climbed above the key $63,000 level.
