Strategy Holds Steady at 845,050 BTC After Week of Inactivity
Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, reported no Bitcoin purchases or sales over the past week. This brings its treasury to an unchanged 845,050 BTC.
This represents approximately 4.024% of Bitcoin's hard-capped 21 million supply. At current valuations, this position is worth around $66.3 billion against a total cost basis of about $63.73 billion.
Strategy had been active in purchasing Bitcoin just last week, buying 4,603 BTC and spending approximately $369.7 million at an average price of around $80,318 per coin. This marked the end of a 10-week buying hiatus, with Executive Chairman Michael Saylor signaling the return to accumulation on social media by declaring 'We're back.'
The company's balance sheet remains strong, with roughly $6.71 billion in USD cash reserves and zero net leverage. Strategy is not forced to sell Bitcoin to meet obligations due to its significant cash cushion.
