Strategy Inc.'s CEO Phong Le downplayed the significance of selling thousands of Bitcoin, stating that it's 'irrelevant' to market pricing. The company owns over 842,000 BTC, which is approximately 4% of the total supply.

The sales in question were two transactions: one in late May 2026 where Strategy sold 32 BTC for around $2.5 million, and another in June 2026 where they offloaded 3,588 BTC as part of a broader capital-structure adjustment. This represents roughly 0.4% of their total holdings.

Le framed the sales as routine capital management, not distress signals. He mentioned that the proceeds could be used for dividends, debt servicing, share repurchases, or to generate realized losses that could create tax assets for the company.
