Strategy Inc. Holds Firm on Bitcoin, Won't Sell Amid Bull Market
Strategy Inc., led by CEO Phong Le, has announced it won't sell its Bitcoin holdings during the current bull market. This confidence in the cryptocurrency's value comes from a company that now holds 845,050 BTC, worth roughly $65 billion. To put this into perspective, Strategy controls over 4% of the entire Bitcoin supply.
The company used a recent 10-week pause to clean up its balance sheet, pay down debt, and build a cash cushion of around $7 billion. During that time, it sold approximately 7,000 BTC at prices between $60,000 and $65,000 per coin, primarily to cover preferred dividend obligations.
Le framed those sales as a capital cost decision, not a referendum on Bitcoin's value. Strategy's approach has evolved from an 'never sell' dogma to accumulating when conditions favor it and selling only under strictly defined circumstances tied to capital costs.
