Strategy Inc.'s Bitcoin Holdings Soar with $12.9 Billion Unrealized Profits
Strategy Inc., under Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, has seen its Bitcoin holdings record more than $12.9 billion in unrealized profits over the past seven days. The company's BTC price pump was driven by a 24% increase in the value of Bitcoin, with Strategy holding approximately 840,447 coins worth around $75,385 each. This significant rally pushed Saylor's company into profit for the first time since May 26, after previously sitting on an unrealized loss of over $14.17 billion.
The recent price surge has also lifted Strategy's cash reserves to $4.8 billion, with no Bitcoin sales or purchases made in recent times. The company had faced criticism of a potential liquidity crunch amid the bear market turmoil earlier this year but has since increased its focus on building its cash reserves. With the company's BTC holdings already in net profit, the Bitcoin price is well positioned to experience further bullish sentiment.
