Strategy Inc. Set to Report Q2 Earnings Amid Bitcoin Volatility
Strategy Inc., parent company of the popular investment platform Michael Saylor's Strategy, is set to release its second-quarter earnings after market close on Thursday. According to analysts, the company will report a net loss of $2.19 per share against expected quarterly revenue of $121.88 million.
This revenue figure represents a 6.40% increase from the same quarter last year, driven primarily by the company's substantial Bitcoin holdings. The earnings report is critical for investors assessing the impact of Bitcoin's recent volatility on Strategy's profitability, as the cryptocurrency fell over 14% in the second quarter.
Strategy holds 843,775 BTC valued at over $55 billion, currently sitting on paper losses of more than $8 billion. In an effort to bolster its cash reserve, the company has halted Bitcoin purchases for a month and sold 3,620 BTC, bringing its cash position up to $3.225 billion.
Michael Saylor, CEO of Strategy Inc., posted a chart highlighting each purchase against Bitcoin's price history on his Sunday custom post, sparking curiosity about whether he plans to resume buying Bitcoin.
