Strategy Inc. Targets Berkshire Hathaway with Bitcoin-Fueled Growth Plan

Strategy Inc., formerly known as MicroStrategy, aims to surpass Berkshire Hathaway's $348 billion capital base within three to five years. According to executive chairman Michael Saylor, this will be achieved through a strategy he calls the 'Bitcoin flywheel.'

The plan involves issuing debt and equity in the capital markets, using proceeds to acquire more Bitcoin, and then leveraging the growing Bitcoin treasury as justification for raising even more capital.

Saylor's approach relies on Strategy Inc.'s stock performance being tied directly to the price of Bitcoin. The company currently holds over 640,000 BTC, making it the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin globally.

In contrast to Berkshire Hathaway's cash reserves, Saylor argues that holding Treasury bills and cash is a slow bleed due to inflation eroding purchasing power. He advocates swapping this cash for Bitcoin as a hedge against currency degradation.
