Strategy Joins Trump Accounts Initiative with Annual Contributions
Strategy, a Bitcoin treasury firm and Nasdaq-listed company (MSTR), has announced its plan to contribute to Trump Accounts for the children of its U.S. employees. The company will deposit $250 annually into each eligible child's account under the age of 18.
The contribution applies regardless of when the child was born, but for those born on or after January 1, 2025, Strategy will also make a one-time $1,000 contribution in the child's birth year, matching the seed deposit provided by the U.S. Treasury.
Strategy's president and CEO, Phong Le, expressed support for the Trump Accounts initiative, stating that it can encourage financial education and long-term thinking among children from an early age.
The Trump Accounts program was launched on July 4, 2026, with a one-time $1,000 seed contribution deposited into over 500,000 accounts. The funds are locked until the child reaches age 18, at which point they convert to a traditional individual retirement account.
