Strategy Joins Trump Accounts Program, Maintains Bitcoin Treasury
Strategy, a company formerly known as MicroStrategy, has expanded its employee benefits by supporting the Trump Accounts contribution program across its U.S. workforce. The initiative will provide $250 annually for every eligible child under 18 of its U.S. employees and a one-time $1,000 contribution matching the federal seed deposit.
The company joins several major financial firms in supporting the Trump Accounts program, which aims to encourage long-term savings through tax-advantaged investment accounts for children. The program will begin only after the U.S. Treasury completes implementation and enables employer contribution systems.
Strategy has maintained its long-term Bitcoin strategy despite recent treasury sales and continued on-chain wallet activity. A recent SEC filing showed the company sold 1,638 Bitcoin at an average price of $63,957, but retained 842,138 Bitcoin acquired for approximately $63.51 billion at an average purchase price of $75,419.
The Trump Accounts program is designed to encourage long-term wealth building through investment accounts created for eligible children across the United States. Children born between 2025 and 2028 qualify for a $1,000 federal contribution under the program.
