Strategy Leverages ChatGPT to Raise $15B for Bitcoin Acquisitions
Michael Saylor, executive chairman and co-founder of Strategy, revealed in an interview that the company used ChatGPT to design a preferred stock instrument. This hybrid credit product helped raise approximately $15 billion for Bitcoin acquisitions.
According to Saylor, traditional methods such as stock sales and convertible debt were not sufficient to meet the company's fundraising needs. He stated that Strategy turned to AI after these methods offered limited capacity. ChatGPT was used to help design preferred stock platforms.
The company has sold 1,690 BTC, repurchased STRC shares, and added $650 million to its USD reserve. These moves are expected to strengthen fundraising capacity, balance-sheet liquidity, and adoption potential in the crypto market.
