Strategy Overtakes Dell as Top 25 US Stock Amid Bitcoin Volatility
Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy before its pivot into becoming a Bitcoin treasury vehicle, has reclaimed its spot in the top 25 most actively traded stocks in the US. This achievement is marked by surpassing Dell Technologies in daily trading volume.
The company's stock, trading under the ticker MSTR, has seen daily volumes between 10 million and 20 million shares. Recent sessions have reached around 12.6 million shares traded, outpacing Dell despite its record highs in the $467 to $477 range.
MSTR's share price is volatile, with a 52-week range of $81.81 to $414.36, a swing of over 400%, and has recently traded near $96 to $97. This kind of volatility is unusual for a company with a market cap estimated between $33 billion and $39 billion.
Under CEO Michael Saylor, Strategy transformed from an enterprise software firm into a publicly traded Bitcoin holding company. The stock functions as a leveraged equity proxy for Bitcoin, amplifying the digital asset's moves in both directions.
