Strategy Pauses Bitcoin Accumulation for First Time Since 2020
Strategy, the corporate intelligence firm formerly known as MicroStrategy, reported no Bitcoin activity last week. This pause in buying and selling marks a departure from its historically aggressive accumulation strategy.
The company's decision to refrain from making any transactions does not necessarily signal a change in long-term strategy. Chairman Michael Saylor has repeatedly stated his intention to hold Bitcoin indefinitely and continue accumulating during market downturns.
Strategy's buying activity has been closely watched by cryptocurrency markets, as its large-scale purchases have historically correlated with upward price movements. The firm currently holds over 214,000 BTC, valued at approximately $14.7 billion at current market prices.
