Strategy Pauses Bitcoin Buying Amid BIP-110 Security Concerns
Strategy, formerly known as MicroStrategy, has paused its Bitcoin buying after raising $1.26 billion through stock sales.
The company is building a $3.75 billion cash reserve to cover dividends and still aims to reach 1 million BTC by the end of 2026.
This decision comes amid concerns over a proposed Bitcoin upgrade, BIP-110, which could potentially threaten network security by censoring transactions and reducing miner revenue according to Michael Saylor.
