Strategy Posts Record $8.2B Loss as Bitcoin Price Stumbles
Strategy, a leading Bitcoin treasury company, posted a staggering $8.23 billion loss in its operations for Q2 2026, largely due to an unrealized loss of $8.32 billion.
The company's CEO, Phong Le, attributed the loss to the dull price performance of Bitcoin this year, which has caused a net loss of $8.22 billion compared to the $10 billion income in Q2 2025.
Despite the significant loss, Strategy saw a 6.9% increase in total revenue over the last 12 months, jumping from $114.5 million in Q2 2025 to over $122 million in Q2 2026.
The company's executive chairman and founder, Michael Saylor, expressed confidence that they can return STRC to health with stable demand, high liquidity, and low volatility trading near par.
