Strategy Raises $15 Billion with AI-Developed Financing Products
Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin (BTC), has successfully utilized artificial intelligence to develop a fundraising strategy. According to Michael Saylor, Strategy's executive chairman, this approach enabled the company to raise $15 billion. The funds were primarily used for additional purchases of BTC.
In an interview on August 6, Saylor explained that at the start of 2025, Strategy held approximately $30 billion worth of Bitcoin but had run out of room to issue convertible bonds, its main funding tool at the time.
To resolve this issue, the company employed AI to create new financing instruments. One such product was STRK, a Bitcoin-based convertible preferred stock, which raised $2.5 billion through its initial public offering (IPO) and an additional $8 billion through a shelf registration.
Strategy also utilized another financial product to raise $4 billion, bringing the total sales of its credit instruments to around $15 billion.
