Strategy Raises Half Billion in Equity Sales, Still Not Buying More Bitcoin
Strategy, a company led by Michael Saylor, has raised over $500 million through equity sales between July 20 and July 26. The funds were generated from at-the-market share sales, which allow companies to sell new stock directly into the open market at prevailing prices.
The company's total USD reserves now stand at approximately $3.75 billion after accounting for costs and a preferred share buyback worth $25 million.
Interestingly, none of this money was used to purchase more Bitcoin, despite Strategy's massive stash of 843,775 BTC remaining unchanged for the fifth consecutive week.
