Strategy Records $14.5B Unrealized Loss on Bitcoin Holdings in Q1

Strategy, Michael Saylor's company, reported an $14.46 billion unrealized loss on its Bitcoin holdings in Q1. This figure reflects the accounting treatment of those losses across the full quarter.

The firm's total Bitcoin holdings now stand at 766,970 coins, valued at approximately $53 billion at current prices. Strategy continued buying during the period, adding 4,871 Bitcoin between April 1 and April 5 for around $330 million.

The latest acquisition brought Strategy's average purchase price down slightly to $75,644 per coin, from $75,694 on March 31. The firm's '42/42' plan remains active, targeting $84 billion in total capital raises through equity and convertible notes by 2027.
