Strategy Repurchases $139M of STRC Shares While Leaving Bitcoin Holdings Unchanged
Strategy, the company behind MicroStrategy, has continued its focus on capital management by repurchasing $139.3 million worth of STRC shares. This latest buyback brings the total amount spent on STRC to over $300 million in recent months.
The company used its USD cash reserves to support the STRC purchase, rather than buying or selling Bitcoin during this period. Strategy's massive Bitcoin treasury remains unchanged at 845,050 BTC, acquired for approximately $63.7 billion at an average price of $75,412 per BTC.
Strategy has maintained a strong focus on repurchasing its STRC shares, with the latest buyback following closely after a $176.3 million STRC repurchase announced on September 8. The company's recent spending on STRC brings its total capacity under the expanded Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program to over $1.19 billion.
It is worth noting that Strategy has not reduced its Bitcoin holdings despite pausing its aggressive BTC accumulation strategy in one of its previous filings.
