Strategy's reserve has fallen to 842,138 BTC after the company sold 1,638 BTC for $104.7 million in the week ending August 2. This sale is part of Strategy's new capital structure that enables the firm to sell up to $1.25 billion worth of Bitcoin based on financial circumstances.
The revenue from the sale was allocated equally between paying dividends and repurchasing shares, with $52.4 million going towards preferred share dividends and $52.3 million towards STRC share repurchases. Strategy also purchased 912,143 STRC shares worth $81.2 million during the week, leaving it with $28.9 million to purchase more shares from common stock sales.
Strategy's total cost of buying Bitcoin now stands at $63.51 billion, with an average price of $75,419 per BTC. The company has sold almost $321 million worth of Bitcoin since adopting its new capital structure in June, including the recent sale of 3,588 BTC for $216 million to fund dividends on Digital Credit securities.
Strategy's cash reserve has grown while its Bitcoin holdings decline, with the firm concentrating on increasing its USD balance to meet its yearly requirement for paying preferred dividends. The company liquidated 3,011,361 MSTR shares last week, bringing in $290.6 million and increasing its cash balance to approximately $4 billion.
