Strategy, the corporate software firm known for its large Bitcoin treasury, has reshaped its capital structure by selling common stock and repurchasing preferred shares. The company sold 5,429,160 Class A common shares through an at-the-market offering between July 20 and July 26, generating $544.5 million in net proceeds.
During the same period, Strategy repurchased 288,930 shares of its STRC preferred stock for $25 million, as detailed in a Form 8-K filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday. This move underscores the company's active management of its capital structure, expanding liquidity through equity markets while also managing its preferred instrument.
Strategy's Bitcoin holdings remained unchanged at 843,775 BTC during this period, acquired at an average purchase price of $75,476 per Bitcoin. The company's U.S. dollar reserve increased to $3.75 billion as of July 26, up from $3.225 billion the prior week.
