Strategy Resumes Bitcoin Accumulation, Purchases 4,603 BTC
Strategy, a Virginia-based company, has resumed its Bitcoin accumulation after a two-month pause. The company purchased 4,603 BTC between August 24 and August 30 for $369.7 million.
The acquisition increased Strategy's total holdings to 845,050 BTC, with an average cost of $80,318 per Bitcoin, including fees and expenses. This purchase exceeds the combined sales of 3,328 BTC during the two preceding weeks.
Strategy financed the purchase through its at-the-market common-stock program by selling 4,531,421 MSTR shares, generating $602.8 million in net proceeds after commissions. The company directed $151.8 million toward repurchasing STRC preferred shares and added $30 million to its unrestricted USD Cash account.
With this transaction, Strategy's dollar assets reached $6.71 billion, including a $5.10 billion USD Reserve and $1.61 billion in USD Cash. The company has retained authority to sell another $19.09 billion of MSTR under its existing offering program, providing management room for further purchases or cash reserves.
