Strategy Resumes Bitcoin Buying with $369.7M Purchase
Strategy, the largest corporate Bitcoin owner, has resumed its Bitcoin accumulation plan after a two-month pause. The company disclosed in an SEC filing that it bought 4,603 BTC between August 24 and 30 for an average price of $80,318 per coin.
This purchase brings Strategy's total holdings to 845,050 BTC, with an average price per Bitcoin of $75,412. According to the filing, the company spent $369.7 million on this buy, which was funded by selling 4,531,421 shares of MSTR stock through its ATM program.
The sale of stocks generated a net of $602.8 million for Strategy, with the remaining funds allocated towards buying STRC preferred stock, dividend payments on preferred stock, and increasing USD Cash reserves.
