Strategy Resumes Buying Bitcoin After Strengthening Balance Sheet
Strategy, led by CEO Phong Le, has resumed purchasing Bitcoin after a 10-week pause. The company acquired 4,603 BTC worth $370 million last week, bringing its total holdings to 845,050 BTC as of August 30, 2026.
During the pause, Strategy strengthened its balance sheet by reducing net debt to zero and increasing its USD cash reserve. Le stated that the company now holds approximately $72 billion in assets, consisting of about $65 billion in Bitcoin and $7 billion in U.S. dollar reserves, a 34 percent increase over the previous two months.
Le emphasized that Strategy's approach is a two-way capital management strategy rather than a one-way accumulation model. He noted that the ability to buy and sell Bitcoin, equity, and preferred securities allows the company to operate as a full capital management entity.
