Strategy Reveals True Shareholder Value in New Bitcoin Metrics

MicroStrategy, now known as Strategy, has introduced new Bitcoin financial metrics to give investors a clearer picture of their actual value in the company. This move comes after it was revealed that the company's $22 billion debt and preferred investor claims have left only $36 billion attributable to common shareholders.

The 'net reserve' metric highlights this disparity, showing that common shareholders have access to only $36 billion out of Strategy's total $58 billion in Bitcoin holdings, valued at around 843,775 BTC. The company hopes that these new metrics will provide greater transparency and reflect the true shareholder value amidst its leveraged Bitcoin strategy.

The 'amplification' measure is another key metric introduced by Strategy, which shows how leverage affects shareholder returns. This aims to give investors a more accurate understanding of their potential gains or losses from their investments in the company's Bitcoin holdings.
