Strategy Sells $105 Million Worth of Bitcoin to Fund Preferred Stock Dividends
Strategy, a company founded by Michael Saylor and known for its large Bitcoin holdings, has sold 1,638 BTC worth approximately $105 million to fund dividend payments on its preferred stock classes.
The sale, which marks the sixth consecutive week without a new Bitcoin purchase, was made at an average price of around $64,000 per coin, below the company's all-in acquisition cost of $75,419. Despite this, Strategy remains one of the largest corporate holders of Bitcoin globally.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to fund dividend payments on preferred stock classes STRC, STRK, STRD, STRF, and STRE, as well as repurchases of STRC preferred shares.
