Strategy, the company formerly known as MicroStrategy, has sold 1,637 Bitcoin, reducing its total holdings to 842,138 BTC. This sale is modest compared to Strategy's usual buying activities and comes after the company disclosed an $8.32 billion loss related to its digital asset positions in Q2.

The company has been actively accumulating Bitcoin throughout 2026, purchasing a net increase of approximately 25% in total holdings since the start of the year. Despite this, Strategy's reported average purchase price for each coin remains at $66,384.56, which is significantly higher than the current market price.

The company's decision to sell Bitcoin below its original cost may indicate a cautious approach to managing its digital asset portfolio. With 842,138 BTC on its books, Strategy has plenty of room to maneuver but also significant exposure if prices move against it.
