Strategy Sells $544.5 Million in Stock to Boost Bitcoin Holdings
Strategy, a company that holds the largest corporate Bitcoin position in the world, has made significant financial moves. The firm sold $544.5 million worth of stock under its at-the-market (ATM) program during the week ending July 26. This sale consisted of 5.4 million Class A shares.
The proceeds from this sale will likely be used to bolster Strategy's Bitcoin holdings, which are valued at roughly $55 billion. Notably, the company did not use any of these funds to purchase additional Bitcoins during the period in question.
Strategy also repurchased 288,930 shares of its preferred stock, STRC, for a total of $25 million. The firm's cash reserves now stand at approximately $3.75 billion.
