Strategy Sells More Bitcoin Amid Dividend Concerns
Michael Saylor's Strategy has been under intense pressure this year due to the accelerated crypto winter. The company's main asset, Bitcoin, has dropped significantly from its record high of $126,300 to $62,000 today.
The decline in Bitcoin's price has had a major impact on Strategy's business, particularly due to its decision to issue preferred stocks like STRC, STRK, STRF, and STRD. These funds provided capital for buying Bitcoin but also mandated dividend payments.
Strategy's main software business does not generate significant income, and Bitcoin, its primary asset, does not produce any revenue. This is in contrast to BitMine, which holds Ethereum and earns a monthly staking reward.
