Strategy, a company that has been involved in buying and selling Bitcoin, has announced its plan to continue selling the cryptocurrency after posting an $8.22 billion quarterly loss in Q2 2026.

In a recent investor call, CEO Phong Le stated that the company will sell Bitcoin based on commercial viability rather than automatically reinvesting all capital raised through STRC issuance into the cryptocurrency.

This marks a significant shift from Strategy's previous approach, where it would pour all funds into buying Bitcoin. According to Le, the company has learned that holding dollars makes more sense and is now determining independently what portion of funds to keep in dollar reserves.

The company reported an operating loss of $8.33 billion in Q2 2026, with $8.32 billion attributed to an unrealized revaluation of Bitcoin reserves due to the asset's price drop to approximately $58,700 by the end of June.
