Strategy Skips New Bitcoin Buys as Cash Reserve Swells to $3.75B
Strategy Inc., a leading holder of Bitcoin, has chosen not to purchase more BTC for a fifth consecutive week. The company's cash reserve has instead increased by $525 million, reaching a total balance of $3.75 billion.
This move is part of Strategy's efforts to strengthen its liquidity and cover dividend payments on preferred stock. According to Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, the company now has 2.1 years' worth of dividend coverage.
Strategy's Bitcoin holdings remain unchanged at 843,775 $BTC, which represents a total cost of $63.69 billion. The average price paid per coin is $75,476, including fees and related expenses.
The company has used equity programs to support both Bitcoin purchases and balance sheet needs. However, the latest filing shows a stronger focus on cash accumulation, with Strategy raising more through MSTR sales than the amount it added to the dollar reserve during the week.
