Strategy Soars with Record-Equity Raising, Strive Surpasses Bullish in Bitcoin Holdings
Strategy, a publicly listed company, has raised approximately $20.9 billion in equity issuance this year, ranking fourth behind SpaceX, Alphabet, and Intel. The company generated $602.8 million in net proceeds from selling MSTR common stock and used $369.7 million to purchase 4,603 BTC at an average price of around $80,318. As of August 30, Strategy holds a total of 845,050 BTC, with cumulative purchase costs of approximately $63.73 billion and an average cost of about $75,412.
Strive has become the fifth-largest publicly listed company by Bitcoin holdings after purchasing 23,156 coins worth around $1.8 billion between August 24 and August 28. The company surpassed digital asset exchange Bullish in Bitcoin holdings and trails only Strategy, Twenty One Capital, Metaplanet, and MARA Holdings. Strive's CEO Matt Cole confirmed the purchases on X, stating that the funds primarily came from stock sales rather than debt financing.
Capital B has received an investment of €7.6 million (approximately $8.8 million) from Blockstream CEO Adam Back to purchase up to 376 BTC. If completed, Capital B's Bitcoin holdings would increase to 3,521 coins, valued at around $269.5 million. The additional purchase is part of the company's total €21 million financing round.
