Strategy Stock Climbs Amid Extended Bitcoin Buying Pause
Strategy, the company led by Michael Saylor, has continued to hold off on buying Bitcoin for a fifth consecutive week. Despite this pause in purchases, Strategy's stock price rose as much as 2.4% in pre-market trading.
The company's at-the-market equity program allowed it to raise approximately $544.5 million through the sale of MSTR shares during this period. This is in addition to repurchasing $25 million worth of STRC shares, its preferred security.
Strategy currently holds 843,775 Bitcoin, acquired at an average price of $75,476 per coin, with a total cost basis of $63.69 billion. Its decision to not purchase any more Bitcoin has led some retail investors on Stocktwits to become bearish on the asset and its parent company.
