Strategy Stocks Up on Cash Amid Bitcoin Market Volatility
Strategy has built a $1.59 billion cash cushion to insulate itself from selling its Bitcoin holdings.
The company raised around $2.01 billion by selling 18.26 million MSTR shares through an at-the-market program, according to The Block's reading of the SEC filing.
Of the proceeds, $1.59 billion went into a new USD Cash pool, which Strategy can use for various purposes, including buying Bitcoin or repurchasing its own stock.
This cash buffer is significant because it gives Strategy some breathing room in case its Bitcoin holdings, valued at around $63.36 billion, experience a price drop.
