Strategy STRC Repurchase Tops $139 Million as Company Focuses on Capital Management
Strategy Inc., the company formerly known as MicroStrategy, has utilized cash for repurchasing its preferred stocks rather than adding Bitcoin to its reserves. The Strategy STRC repurchase has now topped up to $139.3 million, as the firm has used funds to buy back about 1.42 million shares of its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock from September 8 to September 13.
During this time period, the number of Bitcoins held by Strategy stayed constant at 845,050 BTC. These Bitcoins were purchased by the corporation for around $63.73 billion, at an average cost of approximately $75,412 per Bitcoin.
This repurchase is in relation to the Digital Credit Securities repurchase Program of the corporation. The amount of the authorized funds to buy back the preferred securities in case of trading at less than their par value has recently been increased to $2 billion.
