Strategy Surges Out of Losses as Bitcoin Hits $79,500
Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, has moved out of unrealized loss territory for the first time since late May 2026. This change occurred after a brief rally in the price of BTC on August 19-20, when it briefly broke above $79,000.
The company's portfolio of 840,447 BTC is valued at $66.81 billion at the peak price of $79,500. At that time, Strategy was in unrealized profit territory by $3.45 billion.
However, since then, the price of Bitcoin has fallen below $79,000 and is currently trading at $77,828. This means that Strategy's unrealized profit would be around $2 billion, down from its peak of $3.45 billion.
