Strategy to Resume Buying Bitcoin Before End of 2026
Strategy, a firm that has made headlines in the crypto space for its massive Bitcoin holdings, is set to continue buying more BTC before the end of 2026. In an interview with FOX Business, Strategy CEO Phong Le confirmed that the company plans to resume purchasing Bitcoin.
According to Le, Strategy has acquired approximately 175,000 BTC since January but has sold 7,000 BTC during the same period, making it a net buyer of Bitcoin by about 25 times. This means that for every one BTC sold, the firm bought 25 more.
Strategy now holds over 840,000 BTC, making it one of the largest corporations in terms of cryptocurrency holdings. The company's move to sell Bitcoins was aimed at satisfying its corporate financial liabilities, including financing dividend payments for preferred stockholders and purchasing back shares.
