Strategy Tracks Bitcoin's 200W MA as Saylor Flags Critical Price Level
Strategy, formerly MicroStrategy, has started tracking Bitcoin's 200-week moving average (200W MA) as part of its long-term price benchmark analysis. The company's founder, Michael Saylor, highlighted the importance of this indicator, noting that BTC traded above its 200W MA for about 92% of the time since it became available.
The 200W MA is a widely used technical indicator in the Bitcoin market, representing the average closing price over the past 200 weeks. Saylor emphasized that this level has historically been a strong support zone during major market downturns and that BTC's current trading near this level is a key point for long-term investors and traders.
As of now, the Bitcoin price is hovering around $62,686, with some analysts suggesting that if it closes below the support zone of $62,226, the next major price level could be $61,000. On the other hand, if BTC climbs back above $62,659, it may signal a short-term uptrend.
The company's update has sparked speculation among community members about Strategy's potential new Bitcoin purchases, with Saylor sharing an X post with the caption 'Bitcoin Drive engaged' on Sunday, further fueling these discussions.
