Strategy Transfers 299.84 BTC Amid Speculation About New Sale
Strategy, led by Michael Saylor, has made another large transfer of Bitcoin (BTC), fueling speculation about whether it's preparing to sell again. According to onchain tracker Lookonchain, a wallet linked to Strategy moved 299.84 BTC worth around $18.91 million in a transfer flagged just nine hours before the report.
This move is reminiscent of July when Strategy sold 3,588 BTC for approximately $216 million, marking its first standalone net reduction since 2022. The company's executives had hinted at selling some holdings to fund STRC perpetual preferred stock dividends, which would eventually allow them to buy back more Bitcoin than they sold.
Strategy currently holds the largest corporate Bitcoin treasury in the world, with 843,775 BTC purchased for a combined $63.69 billion at an average price of $75,476 per coin. The company added $525 million to its USD reserve recently, pushing coverage for preferred dividends and interest to 2.1 years.
