Strategy Unleashes Cash Reserve as Bitcoin Sales Reach $105M
Strategy, an entity known for its large Bitcoin holdings, has taken a significant step to boost its financial position. According to its latest SEC filing, Strategy sold 1,638 Bitcoin at an average price of $63,957 per coin, raising $104.7 million in the process.
The sale is part of a broader plan to strengthen Strategy's financials, which has seen the company shift focus from accumulating more Bitcoins to maintaining a larger cash reserve. Alongside the Bitcoin sale, Strategy sold around 3 million shares of common stock, generating an additional $290.6 million in revenue.
Strategy has now built up its USD Reserve to approximately $4 billion, with $250 million from the share sale being added to this pool. This growing cash reserve will provide the company with greater liquidity and financial flexibility to deal with obligations and access funding when needed.
