Strategy Unloads $108M in Bitcoin to Fund STRC Buybacks Amid MSTR Stock Surge
Strategy, a company involved in various financial activities, has made significant transactions involving Bitcoin and its own stock. The company sold $108.6 million worth of Bitcoin between August 3 and 9 at an average price of $64,262 per coin. This sale was aimed at funding the repurchase of shares under Strategy's existing buyback program.
The entire proceeds from the Bitcoin sale, amounting to $108.6 million, were used to purchase 1,152,020 STRC shares. This move is part of a larger strategy to manage its capital structure and allocate funds effectively.
In addition to the Bitcoin sale, Strategy also raised $653.1 million through MSTR stock sales. The company allocated $650 million from these proceeds to its U.S. dollar reserve, increasing it from $4 billion to $4.65 billion within a week.
