Strategy Unloads Another $102 Million in Bitcoin Sales
Strategy, one of the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holders, has offloaded another portion of its massive BTC treasury. According to blockchain analytics platform Lookonchain, Strategy sold 1,637 BTC last week for approximately $102.3 million.
This sale reduced Strategy's holdings to 842,138 BTC, still making it by far the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder. At current prices, the company's stash is valued at roughly $52.65 billion.
Michael Saylor, the CEO of Strategy, confirmed the transaction and explained that the sale was part of a broader treasury management strategy rather than a shift in the company's long-term Bitcoin thesis.
In a statement on X, Saylor wrote that Strategy increased its USD Reserve by $250 million and repurchased $81 million worth of STRC. He also mentioned that this move tightened STRC's BTC Credit by 5 basis points and increased USD Duration by 57 days to 2.3 years.
