Strategy, the world's largest institutional holder of Bitcoin, has made another significant sale. Between July 27 and August 2, 2026, it sold 1,638 BTC worth $104.7 million at an average price of $63,957. This is Strategy's second-largest Bitcoin sale this year.

The company used the proceeds to fund dividend payments for its STRC preferred shares and repurchase its own stock. It also raised $290.6 million through stock sales, boosting its U.S. dollar reserve to $4 billion.

This marks a shift in Strategy's capital management as it taps into its Bitcoin holdings to support obligations tied to its preferred securities. The company has been selling BTC to build U.S. dollar reserves, fund preferred-share dividends, and meet interest obligations, according to its new capital framework unveiled in June 2026.
