Strategy's Bitcoin Holdings Soar with 5% Growth in Q2 2026
Strategy Inc., a prominent Bitcoin treasury company, reported a 5% growth in its Bitcoin per share during the second quarter of 2026. This growth has underpinned the upside potential for the company, according to analyst Clear Street's Brian Dobson.
The company's strategy, championed by Executive Chairman Michael Saylor, focuses on maximizing Bitcoin holdings relative to equity. Since rebranding from MicroStrategy in February 2025, Strategy has aggressively pursued a strategy of accumulating Bitcoin for its corporate treasury.
Strategy reported holding 843,775 bitcoins as of July 26, 2026, acquired at an average cost of approximately $75,476 per bitcoin. The company continues to finance its Bitcoin acquisitions through various capital market activities, including raising $17.06 billion through at-the-market offerings and an additional $7.53 billion via STRC issuances year-to-date in 2026.
Saylor clarified the decision to sell 32 bitcoins in June 2026 as a means to optimize the 'bitcoin per share' metric and strengthen the preferred stock as a robust credit instrument. Dobson's analysis reinforces that the market closely monitors Strategy's effectiveness in enhancing its Bitcoin holdings on a per-share basis, viewing it as a key driver for long-term shareholder value.
